Cargill has been conducting business in Malaysia since 1978. Today our business operating in Malaysia includes vegetable oil refining and production of value added products, grains and oilseeds distribution, sales of starches, sweeteners and texturizers as well as sales and marketing of cocoa and chocolate products. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Cargill currently employs about 830 people in 12 locations country wide. In addition to these facilities, the Southeast Asia Food Application Center in Kuala Lumpur is one of Cargill’s three food application centers in Asia. Established in August 2008, the Southeast Asia Application Center serves customers in the Southeast Asia region on the food applications of beverages, dairy, confectionary, meat, bakery and ice cream and ingredients application and testing of stabilizers, emulsifiers, specialty fats, cooking oils, cocoa and sweeteners.
