It was founded in 1954 in accordance with The Korea Development Bank Act for the purpose of supplying and managing major industrial capital to help develop Korean industries and the national economy. KDB has been at the forefront of enhancing Korea's financial capacity by expanding its reach in global markets and creating a global brand in finance. KDB has a wide global network. So far, it has 9 branches, 5 subsidiaries, and 8 representative offices in the strategic region in the world.
