Product Selection and Buying:
Develop and maintain an assortment strategy aligned with brand identity and customer demand.
Analyze sales data and market trends to select high-performing products.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Work closely with design and marketing teams to develop exclusive or seasonal product lines.
Sourcing and Supplier Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and capacity.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
Source merchandise in alignment with the company’s needs and budget.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and value for the organization.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal product availability.
Plan product replenishments and allocations based on sales performance and demand forecasts.
Coordinate with Warehouse teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Manage inventory levels by coordinating with internal teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
Reduce inventory risks by analyzing slow-moving or excess stock and suggesting markdowns or promotions.
Import and Logistics Coordination:
Prepare and manage all necessary import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Liaise with third party and logistics teams to ensure smooth import operations.
Monitor shipment schedules and address any delays or issues in transit.
Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, supplier agreements, and import documentation.
Merchandising and Sales Optimization:
Collaborate with Sales team to create effective product displays and promotions.
Ensure products are visually appealing and placed strategically to drive sales.
Implement pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs clearance processes, and international trade laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, merchandising software, and sales analytics tools.
Experience in e-commerce or digital merchandising is a plus.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to forecast trends and align product selection with customer preferences.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills for supplier negotiations.
Attention to detail for managing import documentation, supplier contracts, and inventory planning.
Proactive and adaptable approach to solving supply chain and merchandising challenges.
