1. Tax Compliance:
Participate in the preparation and review of annual corporate tax filing for the Group and its subsidiaries, and coordinating with external tax agents to ensure submissions comply with local and international tax laws
Handle and respond to queries by tax authorities
Review value added tax reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international tax regulations
Maintain and review transfer pricing documentation for the Group and its subsidiaries
Manage tax reporting to our shareholders and internal stakeholders, including addressing ad-hoc reporting and queries
Participate in tax provisions estimates in line with the latest accounting standards
2. Tax Optimisation:
Participate in the Group's tax planning efforts, working closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies, minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
3. Risk Management:
Assess tax-related risks, assist in developing and implementing controls and procedures to mitigate risks and safeguard the company's tax positions.
4. Process Improvement and Transformation Initiatives:
Assist with improvement projects / transformation initiatives to optimise tax compliance processes, implement best practices and leveraging technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data analytics capabilities and improve decision making across the organisation.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sub-finance teams and business units, to communicate tax implications and ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
6. Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of changes in tax regulations and industry best practices, contributing to the company remaining compliant and strategically positioned.
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, SCTP or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience, preferably combined experience in public accounting and private industry (MNC preferred), with a strong understanding of corporate tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency and experience in executing process improvement initiatives and implementing tax-related systems or tools.
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
