DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials (e.g., seaweed), chemicals, packaging, and indirect supplies. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with local and international suppliers. Monitor market trends, material costs, and supply risks related to seaweed and food-grade additives. Collaborate with Production and Inventory teams to forecast material needs and maintain optimal stock levels. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and food safety/quality standards. Track supplier performance, resolve supply issues, and initiate corrective actions as needed. Manage importation procedures, documentation, and coordination with logistics providers and customs brokers. Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports for management review. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing and procurement processes.
REQUIREMENT

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing, carrageenan, or chemical industry. At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills. Deep knowledge of sourcing raw materials, especially from international markets (e.g., seaweed, chemicals). Familiarity with import/export processes, incoterms, and government trade regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and manage budgets. Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
