Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.
Contacting potential clients to build relationship and set up meetings
Preparing presentations and pitching by studying the type of clients
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating / renegotiating and closing deals
Preparing sales contract after closing deal
Researching organisations online / offline to identify new leads and potential new markets, needs of potential clients and learning who are the decision makers
Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
REQUIREMENT
Customer Service Skills: The customer is always right. You will need to be able speak in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them.
Communication Skills: Including negotiation skills, prospecting skills, and closing skills
Presentations Skills
Flexibility: You might have to work long hours, nights or weekends.
Persistence: Not every customer is going to be a sale. Being able to bounce back if you lose a sale will be key for this job.
Meeting Sales Goals
