Job Purpose:
The role is at middle and lower level of the organization and report to the FC of the company
Support in delivering robust, timely and accurate financial accounting, management accounts, management reports and reviews
Supervise and monitor various reconciliations and ensure correct recording of transactions in lease / rental management system and SAP
Ensure governance around GLs, PC & CC, relevant mapping tables
Inventory, fixed asset physical count and management
Review of various finance related processes and advise for improvements
Coordinate internal audit function and timely resolution of open recommendations
Support finance team in various forecasts and month end and year end closing
Preparation of finance reporting pack for internal and external reporting
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for effective collaboration
Initial review of VAT on various business transactions
Manage centralised long-term contracts repository and related BG, performance bonds
Control over timely settlement of intercompany transactions
Review and suggest cost savings measures
Support on other ad-hoc requirements and functions
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Governance
Review various accounting & finance policies, processes for alignment to continuous change in business practices
Review core financial data on regular basis and ensure -
No revenue leakage for all verticals
Timely recording and charging to customers
Verification of expense recording incurred via petty cash, by PRO or via PO.
GLs, PC & CC mapping between CARPRO and SAP is monitored on regular basis
Coordinating IT system developments to keep pace with the changing operating and regulatory environment
Review and control over various insurance policies of the company
Support in managing DOA and amendment thereof
Own internal audit function and timely closure of open audit recommendations
Verification of sales incentives by ensuring incentive earnings remain compliant with incentive scheme and policy
Contribute to the development of business management relationships through monthly reviews and recommendation of improvement initiatives
Financial Accounting and Reporting
Monitoring posting of expenses and ensuring all the cost allocations and standard accruals
Implement correct measures for revenue and expense forecast i.e. mid-month, adhoc and submission to Auto and group finance.
Support in month end and year end accounting
Variance analyse with Budget and/or Forecasts
Monitoring CAPEX to remains in line with Budgeted commitments
Analyse and perform scrutiny of postings to all GLS on regular basis
Action plan on key observations and recommendations out of monthly financial results (B/S, P&L and cash flow) review
Reconciliations
Perform monthly reconciliations between SAP, CARPRO to ensure all unreconciled transactions are address on timely basis i.e. Traffic Fine, Prepaid Salik, Fixed Asset, VAT etc.
Review customer reconciliations in coordination with collection and operation team
Review and reconciliation of all accrual files including open POs
Control overactive BGs, performance bonds in alignment with contractual obligations.
Fixed Asset Management
Regular fleet reconciliation between Carpro and SAP
Management of company fixed assets register i.e. rental and lease vehicles, other assets
Conduct and supervise annual physical count of fleet vehicles
REQUIREMENT
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Internationally Accredited Professional Accountancy Qualified / semi qualified or qualified MBA
Understanding of the Automotive Market and Car Rental and Leasing operations is preferred
Minimum Experience:
8 years in finance, with minimum 3 years’ experience of car rental and leasing industry
